Toyota president paid 230 million yen in remuneration for FY2013

Toyota Motor Corp. paid 230 million yen ($2.26 million) in remuneration for fiscal 2013 through March to its president, Akio Toyoda, according to the financial statement the leading automaker submitted to the government on June 24.

The figure increased by 46 million yen from 184 million yen paid in the previous year. Toyota posted a record operating profit of 2.29 trillion yen and a record net profit of 1.82 trillion yen in fiscal 2013.

Six other executives, including Chairman Takeshi Uchiyamada, received more than 100 million yen in remuneration in fiscal 2013.
