And now, a news flash for Vocaloid fans.

Delusion Production House announced that the World Vocaloid Convention 2013 will held in Japan from June 8 to 9.

The venue is the Yamaha Resort Tsumagoi in Kakegawa, Shizuoka Prefecture, which has provided the backdrop for numerous pop music events since the 1970s.

D.P.H. has been a key mover in hosting Vocaloid-related events across the world.

Vocaloid, a song synthesizer program originally developed by Yamaha Corp., owes its popularity primarily to Hatsune Miku, the persona of Crypton Future Media Inc.'s Vocaloid song synthesizer application of the same name.

Of course, other Vocaloid characters helped along the way.

In addition to concerts and live stage shows, organizers said talks, symposiums and workshops will be offered at the convention.

D.P.H. said it wants the Vocaloid convention to become a large-scale event like those held for Japanese science fiction and anime outside Japan.

D.P.H. said it wants to encourage communication among Vocaloid enthusiasts by bringing them together in one place.
