"Pokemon Best Wishes" will enter its second season on June 21, featuring many characters from previous episodes of the long-running anime series.
"Pokemon Best Wishes Season 2" will take over the same time slot as the first series on TV Tokyo-affiliated channels.
The second season will continue to follow the journey of Satoshi and his trusty partner Pikachu. They are reunited with the Sinnoh regional champion Shirona and head for the East Unova region together.
The highlight of the new season will likely be the appearance of Meloetta. The rare Pokemon character will also appear in the "Meloetta no Kirakira Recital" film accompanying the latest feature adaptation, "Gekijoban Pokemon Best Wishes: Kyurem vs. Seikenshi Keldeo," which will hit theaters nationwide on July 14.
Pocket monsters Dragonite, Riolu and Eevee, who live outside the Unova region, will make appearances along with Pokemon coordinator Hikari and her little monster Piplup, with whom Satoshi and Pikachu have traveled through the Sinnoh region.
One of the main events in the second season is the Pokemon world tournament junior cup. The winner of the contest can challenge regional champion Adeku. Satoshi, Shirona and Elite Four member Cattleya will join the competition. Satoshi's new rival will also be revealed.
