Konami Digital Entertainment Co.’s Buso Shinki (armed divine princess) action figures will star in a new television animation series.
Yasuhito Kikuchi, who has worked on hit anime series such as "Macross Frontier" and "Infinite Stratos," will direct the series, which is being produced by animation studio Eight Bit.
The scriptwriter on the project will be Masahiro Yokotani, who is known for his work on "Steins;Gate" and "K-On!." Takahiro Kishida and Ryoma Ebata will provide character designs.
The Buso Shinki action figures were first released in 2006 and have since been adapted into a videogame and a manga series. A previous animated adaptation, "Buso Shinki Moon Angel," was released in downloadable episodes.
