BIZ BRIEF: Toshiba opens water treatment facility in Singapore

Toshiba Corp. announced April 11 it has set up water treatment R&D center in Singapore, its first outside Japan.

At a ceremony to mark the opening of the Aqua Research Centre, Toshiba said it inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with PUB, the national water agency, to explore joint

collaboration to develop and test the application of a newly developed adsorbent to remove toxic elements in the used water treatment process for semiconductor plants.
