Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corp. introduced the new Canter Eco Hybrid light-duty truck at a news conference in Yokohama on May 18.
The Canter Eco Hybrid uses a light, three-liter 4P10 diesel engine with low fuel consumption, and a dual-clutch transmission and hybrid motor, the first fusion of such technologies in the world.
This latest innovation of the Daimler Trucks Global Hybrid Center, located in Kawasaki, will be available at Mitsubishi Fuso dealerships and regional sales centers across Japan from May 18, with plans for an international rollout in 2012.
