BIZ BRIEF: Daiichi Sankyo allies with National Cancer Center

The National Cancer Center and Daiichi Sankyo Co. announced on May 22 that they will collaborate on research into developing cancer drugs.

The partnership will aim to integrate the cancer research technology and clinical experience at the National Cancer Center in Tokyo with the advanced research capability and drug development capabilities of Daiichi Sankyo.

The National Cancer Center was established in 1962 and is Japan’s leading medical institute for cancer treatment and research. Daiichi Sankyo, which is investing heavily in oncology research, has conducted joint research with the center on number of occasions.
