Toyota Motor Corp. unveiled a concept electric car for children at the International Tokyo Toy Show 2012 on June 14.
The Camatte, which literally means “Take care of me,” has three seats and can be transformed by replacing body panels into an imitation sports car, called “Sora” (Sky), or an off-road vehicle called “Daichi” (Earth).
It can be driven by children at least 120 centimeters tall, Toyota says, and allows t controls for adults to assist in driving.
The automaker currently has no plans to commercialize the vehicle. The toy show is open to the public at the Tokyo Big Sight center from June 16 to 17.
