Sharp's new juicer takes it easy on the fruit

Sharp Corp. has developed a new low-speed juicer that it says makes more nutritious drinks.

The Juicepresso, to be sold from June 22 for 36,000 yen ($454), crushes fruit using a relatively slowly rotating mechanism. Sharp says that reduces the oxidization of the fruit and improves the end product.

The device can also handle ginger and other relatively hard foodstuffs.
