KATO, Hyogo Prefecture--Perched atop a high castle tower, Rikio Takeda, 75, strikes a pose. Like a modern-day samurai warrior, he dreams of being the lord of his own keep. He doesn’t mind that the wooden model is only 1.7 meters high. It took him 10 months to build the “tenshukaku,” or donjon, himself, and his pride shows.
