The trip to Ise Jingu Shrine starts from Iseshi Station on the JR and Kintetsu Line. It takes about an hour and 15 minutes from Nagoya to Iseshi Station on the limited express train.
From Iseshi Station, it's a five-minute walk to the Outer Shrine. It costs 410 yen ($4) for the local bus and not more than 1,000 yen by taxi to go from the Outer Shrine to the Inner Shrine.
If you wish to visit only the Inner Shrine, take a bus from Iseshi Station. The 15-minute ride costs 410 yen.
If you are traveling by car, the shrine is a short drive from the Isenishi Exit on the Ise Expressway.
